Near Selmer Tennessee there is an abandoned church. My friend Jay Farrell and I have been using this church, and others for night photography for a few years. Yes, this means we have shot these locations several times. Why would we go back to a site we’ve been before? Because nothing is ever really abandoned forever. Abandoned sites evolve, or perhaps I should say they never quite stop changing.

I love seeing the changes that take place in since my last visit. But that isn’t the only reason we revisit these sites. Locations like these allow us to experiment with night photography without interference.
